Dr. Gary J. Bredfeldt
Gary's calling is to equip servant leaders for service to Christ and His Kingdom. To this end, he has been engaged in biblical higher education most of his career. As both teacher and academic leader, he has developed, led. and taught in leadership programs at the doctoral, masters, and bachelors level in several academic institutions. Because he desires to "teach teachers, pastor pastors, and equip equippers" he finds working with Pastors Discipleship Network a perfect fit with his ministry calling.
Gary has been married to Marlene for nearly 40 years and is the father of four adult children – Lynne, Stephen, Michael and Amy. Gary and Marlene love to travel. Together, they enjoy spending time hiking, bicycling, swimming and exploring cultures, nature, and historic locations around the United States and abroad.
Gary is a resident of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania where he served for seven years as Vice President for Global Impact at Lancaster Bible College. Prior to his employment at Lancaster Bible College, Gary served as an administrator and faculty member at four prominent theological institutions - Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (Wake Forest, NC), Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Louisville, KY), Moody Bible Institute (Chicago, IL) and Tyndale College and Seminary (Toronto, ON) where his many roles have included vice president, dean, department chair, faculty member and doctoral program director. Beginning this July, Gary will join the faculty of Liberty University where he will design doctoral programs and teach.
Gary has served five diversely sized churches ranging from 30 members to 4000 members as senior pastor, executive pastor, minister of education and youth pastor.
