ADDRESSING A DESPERATE NEED FOR BIBLE EDUCATION
Over 85% of pastors in East Africa have not had access to theological training. Many pastors have expressed to us a desperate need for Bible education, while others do not feel they need training because they have made it thus far without it. PDN’s current focus is on those pastors who feel stuck in their ministry, because while they are passionate to divide God’s Word accurately, they are not fully equipped to do so. At the same time, PDN will look to reach those pastors who feel they don’t need further training because that perspective can lead to a dangerous attitude and mind-set.
Our theological training comes in three convenient packages:
- SEMINARY - LITE COURSES (6 WEEKS)
- ROOTED IN THE WORD PASTORS CONFERENCES (3 DAYS)
- INDUCTIVE BIBLE STUDY CLASSES (THREE LEVELS)
Together, these programs provide the pastors with both theology training and practical pastoral skills. Through programs like our “Rooted in the Word” conferences, church leaders are empowered to discover and apply Christ-centered principles. PDN is excited to witness the growth in church performance due to the correct handling and communication of God’s Word.
These programs also help pastors to live a balanced and fruitful life which leads to healthy families and congregations. We are grateful for ministries like PRECEPT Ministries International (Kay Arthur), Moody Bible Institute, Moody Publishers, Lancaster Bible College, Crossway Publishers, Christian Book Distributors and others, that have partnered with us and participated in both training and providing resources to make our program a success.
Currently, over 4,800 pastors are benefiting from our training programs and we hope that in the next four years, we will be serving 10,000 churches across East Africa.
